Slip/sliding away

Slip/sliding away
Does it bother anyone else that the back of the rear seat behaves like a skating rink when the seat is folded down and cargo is in the back? Are there any good options to prevent this? I know the tie downs in the far back are great, but I am lazy and put stuff in the back from the drivers seat. It never stays where I put it.

Cargo liner.
Carpet.
Rubber mat.
Many other things you can put back there to cover the slick, hard plastic interior. Your choice.
My back seats stay folded down. I have a rubber mat that covers the entire rear interior.

All of the above suggestions are good, I have an old rubber box liner mat from an old pick’em up truck, I haven’t trimmed it to size yet, but in 10 years of owning an HHR, I’ve just let it slide.

I used what came with the HHR and some commercial carpet squares rubber backed and the trunk liner from the Toyota Camry before I carmax junked it for $500
The tie downs in the back near hatch I have bungee cords there for cooler or lawnmower to hold then from rolling.
Recently on my tours of Pick & Pull salvage yard I found the rare cargo net and bought that for $8.99 it's in the storage box. Haven't tried it yet.
For safety in case of a panic stop things tied down help a lot rather than bouncing around inside passenger area.
