As a new owner (2 weeks) I am very happy with mine. According to the little average mileage thingy, I get 22.7 mpg. A lot of that driving is city/suburban with a little rural thrown in for good measure. I am sure as my ownership progresses, the mileage figures will change. My average speed is also quite low (21 mph) and I have certainly driven it at 70 a couple of times. I hope the guy is happier with his new Ram. Those are nice trucks, but i certainly think my HHR Panel is acceptable so far. As far as it being American made, I see the engine and trans in mine is all USA and the rest is from Mexico. Hey, at least North American, eh? I know Sean Hannity plugs the HHR as American made. Are they all from Mexico? The papers on mine say 51% Mexico and 49% USA. Just wait till China starts selling their cars here. They don't even pass the crash-worthiness tests for Germany, yet. I have no problem with the origin of the cars, Toyota and Nissan are good cars and they build them here as well. I once had a Grand Marquis that was all Canadian built, does that count as a foreign car?

To the many people that claim the HHR is "American" and put down those of us that buy Japanese vehicles....The HHR is not made in USA.
Good luck with your Ram, you buy what you want in this country, no apologies to anyone. Enjoy it while you can.
You have to know how to play a deal, though.
