Your picture skills seem allright to me, but I'm just a car nut not a photographer. I really like the blacked out look of your HHR, the only added detail I would think make it look really slick would be to completly black out the grille. I also do like the blacked out hubacaps, really gives it a killer look. Oh one more thing,it would look awesome slammed.

I like the 8th one, even know there is not a lot of detail it works.
The main problem I am seeing is lack of detail. Darks are way to dark to show off the black detail in the "shadows". Granted black on black is not the easiest to photograph in low light, but it can be done. What camera are you using? Are you using a tripod? Forget about the flash in low light situations like above, you won't like it, trust me.
I also notice in the angle shots (tilt the camera) you cut off part of the car, you have creative license here, but IMO try to get the whole car in the frame. Also I notice you take your pictures with a wide angle. Try zooming a bit and cut out some of the background, get the car bigger and have it fill up more of the frame.
Pay great attention to the background and the foreground. I try not to overlap things unless it can't be avoided or that's my point. Watch for trees, posts, and poles "growing" out from the top of your car.

I like the fourth photo from top and the black and white w/ semi trailers. The others are so so. I think the car is the subject and the backgrounds take up a lot of the photos. The backgrounds should compliment the car. And too dark maybe during the daylight the car would shine. just my 2 cents.

Don't hate on me but 3&4 are the only ones I like. Here is a pic-shop tip since your car is black. Tripod mount the camera and take the same shot at several exposure levels. You can cut out a much lighter version of the car and layer it over a darker background to simulate the range of light sensitivity of the human eye. Tricky, but awesome results if pulled off correctly. I'll try to dig up some I've done in the next couple days.

Okay.. ill try to reply to all in one. haha :)
I know it needs a all black grille and to be lowered. lol. im workin on it.
Thank you to those who complimented on liking the car, it is a work in progress.
Im tryin to keep it as cheap as possible but get a killer look.
I use photobucket to host my pictures.
I use a tri-pod when taking pictures.
I use a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3 , 10x zoom, 28mm wide lens, 7.2mp..
And thanks to the input of taking the pictures. I will try some of those hints on makin the car more subject and not mix as many backgrounds. also i will try to not lets poles and trees "grow" out of my roof. lol.
Thanks for all the input, all the more is appreciated.
Im off to work now, ill be on later.
