I have yet to jump Dory, have come close on two occasions. First time was crossing an intersection, the opposite side had quite a dip in it. Second time a set of RR tracks almost got me.

However, I have been airborn in my Suzi Sidekick. My friends that witnessed it say I was a good 10-12 feet in the air after launching off a somewhat steep hill that had a gradual slope on the opposite side. Almost landed nose first, set the suspension back about half an inch and left quite a divot where I landed.

Cool down, take a depth breath just relax an HHR isn't the right car to do that, just buy a 68 Charger with 01 on both doors

Glad you didn't get too much damaged

I unintentionally did that (jump) with my 89 Cavalier at an intersection.

Fun and scary at the same time. While in the air I was thinking "what's going to break when I land?"...turned out nothing. Drove it for another 7 years after that episide.

Glad to hear all is alright

Dang, never thought of jumping mine! I know it wasn't intentional, glad to hear all is alright. Did it go airborne like the car in the pic? I know the picture is a bit small, but if you are old enough, you should recognize it.

The damage is showing itself

I noticed a spot on the driveway today. It was a large one. Then another one when I got back. I took a look under the car and there it was plain as day drip drip drip . Got under a few minutes ago to see if I could do anything. The front of the pan was bent over on its self and the leak was coming from between the pan and gasket. I thought I had completely ripped the bolt out, but it seems there isn't one in the very front. Just a nub on each side of the gasket that protrudes down through the pan and up through the trans case. I bent every thing back and re-flattened out the lip. Now I will have to see if its still leaking . Also a couple of the bolts that hold the pan on were loose so I tightened those up being careful not to over tighten them. Hope I didn't loose too much fluid. Anyone know how to check the level? Or how to add fluid? My '06 50,000 miles so no warranty. If the dealer has to add fluid anyone got an idea on how much the charge may be?
