Sorry, guy at gas station... 2LT doesn't mean 2.0 liter turbo...

Pull into a gas station today in my SS right behind a guy getting out of a 2LT. He walks over and starts asking about my HHR, you know, which engine does it have, etc... it's fairly obvious that this guy didn't do any research regarding the HHR before he bought one. I told him I had the 2 liter turbo just like every other SS. He starts telling me that the SS package is just an appearance upgrade and that the turbo is available on non SS HHRs too.

I was stunned when he explained to me that his 2LT had a turbo engine in it... I asked him who told him that and he replied that that's what the emblem on the back meant "2LT" he said, "means 2 liter turbo!"

I spent the next 5 or so minutes explaining the differences and showing him the SS engine... he wasn't pleased.

I still can't believe he thought his 2.2 had 260 HP...

I probably could have sold him my HHR right there for more than I owe on it...

I thought the 2LT only came with the 2.4?

172 is still a far cry from 260!

You are right...2LT does not mean 2 liter turbo. I had an 06 2Lt with the 2.4 and recently traded it for a 10 SS. As far as appearance packages it is the 2LT rather than the SS that stands out in that area. One thing the 2LT offers though that the SS doesn't is the full leather heated seating...However, I"ll take my SS seating over my 2LT any day.

And if you put lots of chrome under the hood, it'll go faster!

Unless your into certain cars, your going to get people like that.

Now wrap your head around the cobalts that were SS's but you could get a larger cube N/A SS 2.4L LE5 or the Supercharged SS (as of 2006). Thats freaking annoying when your trying to find out which one it was.

its not that hard to tell which one is which...i mean i did own a cobalt for 5 years...so i guess i can tell the difference in all of them...by just looking at the exterior...unless they have been modded
