Sound Systems

Just wondering what kind of aftermarket systems you guys are running. I'm thinking of getting 2 12" jbl subs myself.

right on, thanks guys. Is anybody running JBL. I'm at the age where my hearing isnt a concern to me, I want that awesome bass sound , you know the kind that you hear in your house that makes you look out the window. I obviously want it beter than stock but i dont wanna drop a grand on it.. Any suggestions.

Just curious...what is it you tell yourself that says it's OK to disturb someone else with your "awesome bass sound , you know the kind that you hear in your house that makes you look out the window" or is it that you just don't care about anybody but yourself?

Take it from someone who used to have that exact mindset....age should never be a factor...one day the ringing in your ears that used to go away after a bit of time all of a sudden never went away

You think it's nothing? Trust me...try to concentrate on even the most minute stuff with ringing day and night and you'll think differently...I guarantee it.

Protect your hearing...once it's gone you will never get it back

lol! Easy guys. Firstly your majesty. Its not my intent to "disturb" people. I just want to have a sweet system, with the capacity to do so (i know it that sounds bad). I never said i would do that so calm down. And Goose, that was intended to be a joke. Why would i want to destroy my hearing? Lets get back to my possible systems question. Peace guys.

its the highs that mess your ears up..not the bass...the bass just screws with you at the time you hear it...but wont have long term affect unlike the highs which can make your ears bleed...this is what a hearing DR told me once....

as for my system...400 watch american pro amp with 2 sony xplode 12s...hits nice and hard and sounds great with the factory headunit with a in line level converter for the rcas.....

that is my setup that cost under $1300 if im not mistaking

you could go with 2 12w3's and a 500/1 in a sealed box that would work great in the hhr. it would be very clean tight bass and would be too loud.
