I'm going to the "Cruzin' for a Cure" in Orange County (CA) tomorrow where the SoCal HHR's are hosting a display.. Between that and my SS test drive I should give a "Final" answer by the end of the weekend... Thanks!!

Cool!
We look forward to seeing you there!

There will be a Panel (Tim's), Kris's AA5 and Charles has the SS (he'll be coming a little later in the morning).

And of course, the rest of us with our gorgeous (2)LT's in various colors, leveling/lowering and configurations. We did have one stock, but since he put flames on his tailights, he can't claim that prize anymore!

@...ready, but not ready to get up at 3 am

Not to throw water on you SS brothers but Im waiting until they get the brake/boost issues dealt with. My local dealer told me they have replaced 5 engines due to turbo problems. I dont have all the particulars yet but that's what he said.

I love the SS and since my 08 2LT will be paid of very soon, I was seriously thinking of trading up. Now I want to wait and see what's up. Sure, the warranty is there and they will fix any problems, I just dont want to deal with the waiting and the headaches. Those of you having SS's now and have no problems, RIGHT ON! enjoy that badass bad boy.

Hip Hot Rod: Thanks for the "turbo" issue info.. I used to work for Volvo--and almost all of their product is turbo'd.. It's a weird thing--every once in a while a turbo would "go out", even on almost-new cars... But most of them (probably 95%) would last at least 80k miles before any isuses.. But what you speak of was one of my concerns.. Anyone else heard of turbo-related issues??

Turbo Issue!!???

If they have had 5 turbo related engine failures then they must have sold a few hundred SS's ! I think that the truth be exaggerated a bits
