SS Space saver spare

Got a quick dumb question! I was changing a wheel on my HHR SS, the spare tire/wheel in the trunk is a 15” wheel. Is this correct? The wheel will not clear the front of the brake caliper. Is there a magic spare wheel for the SS???
P.S. The spare fits the rear wheel fine.
Thanks, Larry in East China MI.

Nope.

If a front tire goes flat, you have to put the spare on a rear tire and then move the removed rear tire onto the front where the bad tire was.

At least this is true for a Brembo brake system. My son was driving mine and had to do the multi-wheel move.
when a front tire went flat.

I'm not sure if this is true for a non-Brembo SS.

It is true for the non Brembo SS also. The trick is don’t get a flat in the front!

It's not a good idea to put a tiny spare on the drive axle of any 2-wheel drive vehicle.

My last 3 flats have all been on the front.
All small nails.

Yes, in my bio it said that my HHR SS is an ‘05. When i was purchasing it i actually hadn’t even looked at it yet. Once i went to pick it up i found it was an ‘08. Sorry for the confusion. The deal was i was buying the HHR SS, and a buddy was buying the SS wheels and he gave me four space saver spares, since i was going to modify the HHR into a pick-up styled truck. I figured the spares would be fine for rolling it around the garage. Then when it was complete, i’d buy a set of aftermarket wheels. Well i guess i’ll be keeping the SS wheels until i’m done with my conversion. Hope that clears up any confusion!
AND,
Thank You for all of the information!
