SS swap

I have a 2008 LS and I wanna do something unique. Get an SS block and fully build it and swap it into mine. Anyone give me advice or feedback on power from a fully built block? No smart remarks please.

its not as far fetched as it may seem. with enough money you can pretty much get anything you need from ZZP.

and itll be more powerful than the stock motor too. you may need to beef up the tranny too. which they have....its all about the $$$$

Yeah, the context of this has been kind of covered before on this forum. Problem here is going from a NA basic engine and wanting to go with the 2.0 SS turbo engine. This isn't a basic swap out. With the engine ,you will need all the wiring, electronics(computers) etc, etc. Plus the transmission, intercooler, etc, etc, etc.
My opinion is it would be a MAJOR undertaking. Not worth the time and money for the result.

What is LNF? And I'm looking to dual charge it. I know it will cost money but I want to be the unexpected HHR that will ride out and to prove the point of an HHR can be fast

Dual charge?????? No offense meant here, but if you are not familiar with the term LNF, maybe this idea of yours needs a little more research. Read up on the 2.0 turbo and get a better understanding of this engine.

well the whole reason i ask what LNF stands for is for someone to explain to me. not for someone to tell me to go research it. dual charging was an option. i'm going to make my HHR one of a kind, and original.

This is easy, buy an SS and swap the bumpers, side facia, and grill, with an LS owner, should be easy to find one here, in fact I would do it but my second one will be an LT, the fog lights would give it away. Now with a tune you will have a 12.7 second LS, is that sleeper enough ???

PS. Look up 2005hhrauto for that tune.

do you mean procharge? supercharger and turbocharger? that is an expensive but awesome thing to do and would be the ultimate sleeper..LNF is just the name of the engine in the SS. just like LE5 is the 2.4l. LSJ is the supercharged ecotec in the 05-07 cobalts...

And do some stuff that has'nt been done to an HHR yet , Theres got to be 3 or 4 things you'll come up with . LOL Good luck. Your beter off buying an SS and doing the reverse engineering on it .
