I had an 06 with the 2.4 and a stick. Was very zippy, slides in through the gears seamlessly. However, I needed a truck, so out with the zippy little car to a Silverado Extended cab with an auto. First auto I have had in 15 years

That's true...all the HHR's on that lot are LS's anyway and I want a 2LT.

Sounds like the dealership here in Ocala, Florida.... always have LS no LT's or SS's and always automatics..

Like I said in my email response to you...check out cars.com...They had 3 in your area that I didn't see on the search above and 2 of them are SS's

On the subject of Manuals and Armrest. I can only speak to the SS. On the SS if you have the manual you don't get armrest. If you get the auto you get the armrest. Something about the safety factor shifting with a armrest in the way. If a LT or LS Manual shift has a armrest then that pretty much defeats that theory.

I'l like to have a armrest in my SS but wouldn't trade the Manual to get one. Sometimes you have to give something up to get what you want.

If you want the stick just keep searching. There are 3 chevy dealerships in my area. I asked all three for a Daytona Blue LT (didn't care if it was 1LT or 2LT) two told me none anywhere, one, well you guessed it. They goy my business. But they are indeed harder to find. But worth the search.

During my search, I did find a Special Edition model with a stick in NC, but none of the dealships local found that one either.

One downside might be if you plan to tow a trailer. Not allowed with the stick.
