Stock Pioneer system Q.

i was wondering does anybody know the size of the pioneer sub located in the back? also how many watts the sterio is putting out? I'm trying to get an idea of the power it is putting out now, cuz i'm looking into aftermarket. thankx.

260 watts with 10 inch sub-woofer according to GM Canada.

It a 8in sub, radio is 260 watts just looked it up. The sub is a shallow sub if you are thinking of swaping it out.

really? 10" i would have thought smaller. anyway thankx guys. (FYI i'm going to get 2 12"JBL woofers with box but havn't decided on the amp yet)

Yeah it 8". My advice is to replace stock head unit. When I replaced mine also replaced amp which was 50-100 rms smaller than previous amp subs were louder

2 12" JBLs... hmm...

Oh, and for the mods, it seems like this thread should be in the Audio/Video section, doesn't it?

Was it maybe changed to 10" in 2007. All the GM websites state 10".......
