Was that a turbo on the left it must have one h**l of a tune even if its supercharged 600 is a bit much ??

 

Almost sounds like an inside job to me.
Never said if truck was broken into in any way.
Heck, a real car thief would have taken both truck and trailer.
I would like to see a 600hp 4 banger.
Wonder if he was running racing fuel in it.

 

Don't the dragster guys get 2500 to 3000 out of 8 bangers so it must be possible but I didn't see it in the car in the video that one looked like 300 tops unless he is runing that new uranium based fuel He He

 

Todays top fuel dragster engine put out 8000-8500HP.

 

If I had a '65 Cobra, I would not put a GM 4-cylinder in it. I would look for a Ford 427. I wonder if this is a replica?

It stinks that it was stolen, original or replica.

and they need to be rebuilt every 1/4 mile....... (actually they are toast about 2/3rds of the way down the track)

 

If anyone can get 600 hp out of a 4 banger it would be lingenfelter.

 

Wonder if the original owner ever got it back....since the "clip" is a year old.

Also, I suspect it is a "kit" Cobra, which are worth substantailly less than the real thing.....especially if he stated a value of $100K. I witnessed "real" Cobras sell for near $1 Mil, at Barret Jackson and others.
