Strange happening..!

Thanks for the response...It is under warranty for a couple of more weeks, I asked the "service adviser" and got a blank look back....which didn't really fill me with confidence...
I could see maybe a chafing problem if it happened when the doors were unlocked and the car was in park.
As I understand the system, the BCM blocks the "open signal" by some means when the car is in gear or the doors are locked..??
I'll give the dealer another try..it just seems like every time it goes to the shop they either cant find the problem or create some new problems ..!!

Thanks for the suggestions, I do know what you mean about the doors being a a tight fit..
I thought that I read somewhere that the doors have a 2 part opening system, one is the latch release and then there is a popper.
I'm not sure how the popper is triggered, if it is connected to the circuit that senses the door open then maybe thats what happend..
If the door was not latched very well and eventualy moved to a position where the door open circuit activated and engaged the popper.. just a splt second before I heard the door pop open I saw the door ajar light and heard the "boing chime".
So maybe its only the door release that the BCM disables when the doors are locked and the car is in gear???
Just my "grassy knoll" theory.....as much as I hate taking it back to the dealer....I'd really like this problem to be on their nickel.. before my warranty runs out :)
