I never use shell gas or best grade has especially shell best grade gas and Lucas fuel treatment. I did this time and now it's acting a fool here at end of tank. So try another treatment? Any suggestions on brand?

Haters, or brand lovers come on
GAS is GAS, it all comes down the same pipeline.
Additives have different names, but are pretty much the same.
Use high volume stations that have fast pumps. High volume=less crap in tanks, fast pumps=frequent filter changes.

I know gas is gas but with different additives. I don't use shell because in our area they don't get alot of business so alot of sediments. I try to use Speedway because of high traffic useage. I'll try to get some octane booster and injector cleaner. See where that goes. I'll keep updated and appreciate the help already.

A little tidbit. The electric fuel pump creates heat when running. It is cooled by being submerged in fuel. If the fuel tank level is low, the fuel pump may not be getting properly cooled.(not fully submerged)
If you have an old or weak pump, overheating of the pump could be an issue.

I'm not saying this is your problem, but just a possibility.

Ok i listened to it, sounded like it always has, no real big grinding noises. short bust of a rough humm. I filled the tank today again with cheap grade and added an All In One cleaner to it, lets see if that helps, also wont let it drop that low again and see if that helps.

just odd question, could a battery do this? the three days i was working on it, the battery went dead had to jump it. so if the battery is dieing, could it cause a stumble like that?

cause it did it again this am, but this time the lights started out really dim then once it fully started they went to normal.

It's a definite possibility, low battery voltage can cause HHR's to act up, change out the battery and see if it starts to behave itself.

Leave the battery disconnected for about 30 minutes before attaching the cables, the wait will allow residual voltage to bleed off so the various modules will reset themselves.

Sounds right...running off batt until the alt s y stem catches up after start...probably low fuel press and/or weak spark...after everything settlez down your at full voltage again. When you start, you have lights on,starter turning, all the other systems coming on line, its a big draw onthe battery
