If you did not hear a distinct clank or clack while turning you are good. You will not hurt a thing by now turning it CW. Take it easy and if it don';t get hung up, which I don't think it will based on what you say you did, it'll be fine. If you get resistance don;t force it and start removing the cover to re-time. I think you are worried about nothing.
worked out great thank you !!!
Im sure i was just very nervous and worried about nothing.
i tend to over read and worry myself as Ive never really worked on much car wise without my dads guidance . (sound like a big baby i know)
Car is running great. THANKS ALL

I don't understand the decision making process. Risk : Reward. The risk in cranking the engine was that it could be destroyed. The Reward is that you decided to take the car out of service and replace the timing components anyway.
Glad it's not destroyed, but what was the point in cranking it, if you're going to fix it anyway?

Im sorry you Dont understand my decision making process....
With all due respect there are a-lot of factors that caused me to crank it.
I dont care to mention them all just as you dont care to hear them.
I will take the time to personally thank you for responding ...

I'm impressed at the 305K mileage. I thought mine was getting up there at 190K and am doing some front end work and a tune up over the next week - been looking at the timing chain job as something should do to keep it going another 100K. Just wish engines could be removed like a battery so you could do all that sort of work on a stand at standing height with nothing in the way while you work on it. I bet ferrari mechanics like that part (minus step 1)... let's see, step 1(almost any repair)... remove the engine.
