Surprise from the DIC read out

It's been cold here and last night I had a DJ gig for a Vette club. I got a kick out of seeing the temp read out at 4 below zero. This morning however, it said "possible ice". Wasn't expecting that. Will it tell me to break out sun block on hot sunny days?

I saw that the third day I owned mine...couldnt believe it.
1)I am in California, near the coast...we arent supposed to have "ice" conditions.

2)I own a couple Lincoln Mark VIII's, which at their prime, were considered "state of the art" with on-board telemetry, a driver message center, and all kinds of gadgets...not ONCE have they ever told me it was icy...

pretty cool huh? The little guy actually looks out for itself!

Based on temp it will warn you of possible icey driving conditions, but don't expect much more. However, when my wife sits in the passenger seat the airbag light says it's on..... Now that amazed me. I didn't even know the car knew her.......

You should have bought a Cadillac Eldorado instead if you wanted to know if it was icy out

Too bad nobody except for BMW and Mercedes makes a nice luxury coupe anymore. Looks like Cadillac is going to try again with the CTS Coupe in a couple years but you can't beat those big Eldos and Mark Vx's of yore.
