Is there a TSB for the auto trans start-up lurch?

Not to hijack but BR peaked my interest when he mentioned a cluck putting it in reverse......I changed my oil the other day and when I was finished and bringing it down off the ramps it made a very loud clunk when putting in in reverse. Lately the tranny has been making noises when putting it into drive, R etc...not like it was when on the ramps but enough to get my attention....I never noticed it before when the car had less miles on it (almost 35K now)
Not horribly loud but sometimes louder than I think it should be...do you guys notice a clink or sounds of the tranny when putting into D or R..is this normal or should it be pretty silent?

Took two trips to the dealer before they could reproduce it and fix it.
Ever since suffering through a piston slap riddled 3.1L V6 in a Malibu, I constantly listen for new noises and get it addressed if it is something that's a problem.

Definitely a clank and not a clunk on mine. Its a distinct sound, and the car lurches in sync to it happening.
Fluid hung in the clutch packs. Could this mean the fluid level in the trans might ought to be reduced slightly?

Ok I use the term clunk loosely..I could mean clank too...either way it sounds like GM is saying "tough, it is a noise, deal with it" Of course that is just what I'm reading..whether that is true or not I guess I won't know unless I push the issue
