You can get the OEM AC Delco cabin filter for $13.83 from Parts Train. That's where I got mine. I swapped mine out at 36,000. It was fairly dirty but there wasn't that much debris in there like leaves.

jx3 and others who experienced leaves and other types of debris in your Passenger Compartment Filter.........

Just wondering, if you recognized any water stains, etc. If leaves make it directly to the surface of the filter material, wouldn't/couldn't water from rain and melting snow (not you jx3 ) migrate to that area as well???

My filter was absolutely clean when I changed it upon my return from vacation. But, it was part of my maintenance procedure....so, it was done.

Is the K&N filter easy to install?

Yes. If you can unscrew a couple hose clamps and like 7 screws you can do it. It should only take you about 10-15 minutes or so.

did a lil maint. my self yesterday...with nothing else to do all day long...so i got busy...

http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=6656944

i did a lil expressway/highway and around town driving...and may i say...the peppiness is much more noticeable. pick up and go is awsome. passing power is a lil different. i was doing 80mph and by the time i looked at the speedo...i was like...woah that was fast getting there. very happy with the outcome. the kn air filter was very easy to do, yea just a couple of flathead screws and about 7 allen wrench screws. it's easier if you take off the entire intake box, of course.

Excellent price. Too bad they don't ship to Canada.

What do you think of the handling, now that you have the sway bar installed?

I may take mine off today to see how dirty the air cleaner has gotten over the last 6 months.

If I do, I'll take some pics.

EDIT: Here's a how to.
