Welcome.
If you will, would you give a comparision between the two veh.
I wanted a SSR, until I saw the price, but when the HHR came out, well the rest is history.
Would like to know how they differ, other than the POWER...

Lets see............
SSR compared to HHR
1. Two door vs Four door
2. V8 vs 4 cylinder
3. RWD vs FWD
4. Better interior finish
5. Expensive vs Affordable
At one time I had thought of trading in my crossfire on one, that is until I became unemployed. Then decided on the HHR.

I know about the obvious differences, someone who has ridden in one for some time can tell more than someone who maybe test drove one...
I got in one at the auto show, but I got in a lot of cars at the show. Who can remember one setting...
I do think it was a little cramped...
PS. The HHR has (5) doors, the rear hatch.

Well you were pretty sure about your answer, I couldn`t resist. Although you couldn`t describe how the ride was.

As far as we go...you can't go wrong with the HHR.

No problems whatsoever here on my 2007. I don't like the Firestone tires but am getting used to them. It will be several months before I can try out the AC. Hope it will be quiet.

OK...I have an '06 SSR and just bought the '06 HHR about a week ago. There is NO comparison between the two. They are both great looking, but totally different animals. The SSR is rear wheel drive and HEAVY at 4700 lbs. It has the LS2 Corvette engine with 400HP. Hardtop convertible that takes NONE of the cargo area space even with top down. Handling is excellent, but people have been known to get themselves in trouble on wet roads with all that RWD horsepower. This is basically an expensive toy for my wife and me and we love cruising around in it. Top is almost always down.

The HHR is going to be our daily driver. It replaced an '03 Trailblazer that got horrendous fuel mileage as well as being more troublesome than I liked with 85,000 miles on it. I am very impressed with the HHR's fit and finish. I don't think you can find a better looking, economical and USEFUL vehicle for the money.

If I can answer any specific questions anyone may have, I'll be happy to.

I figured it was fast/powerful. I love the shape of both rides.
I wanted a SSR, well...
