Thinking of Getting Rid of HHR

I thinking about getting rid of my HHR (do not get me wrong I love the thing) but I am a speed demon and all I have up till now is Mustangs but I want the 06 GTO. and it got to have the 6 speed. So what do you all Thank? I know gas mileage and ins will go up but I am single 49 year old that just wants to have fun.

If it's what you want and can afford...I'd say go for it. My kids call this my mid-life crisis car since I'm 52...so I understand the need to want to have something very cool, whether it's an HHR or not.

It's funny what happens to people. I'm thinking about going the other way, but maybe it's b/c I'm 55 and I've already had my MLC. I have a 98 Z28 and it's been fun having all that power but I'm tired of paying for 12-15 mpg @ today's gas prices. I want to sell it and get something that's cool and saves gas. I haven't test driven an HHR yet, but maybe I'll change my mind after I see how slow it is or isn't. I'm also concerned about the environment. Every gallon of gasoline saved keeps 20 pounds of carbon monoxide out of the atmoshere.

I'd say trade it for a Mustang not a GTO.

Me too. My wife and I have gone down to having one car instead of two.

HHR is a great car for me, not so good for us as a "family car". Thinking about trading up for something with 4WD to combat the New England snow. Not to mention she just doesn't treat it like me and it hurts!

LOL! My allegiance to Ford ends at the Mustang and GT. Unless we're talking classics like the Galaxy 500 or Thunderbird of course. I only like certain vehicles from all American car manufacturers and don't really favor any one company. I would love to have at least one of my favorite vehicles from each of the big three sitting in my driveway.
