I know it is running rich cause I can smell it when it is running so it is pumping more fuel than normal. Gets to a point that I can't stand the smell and have to shut off after testing for a few mins.
if it is cold out you will smell it rich until it warms up, make sure it is at operationg temps when testing anything.

The reason it is rich is because a lot of unmetered air or a shortage of burned gasses is getting to the #1 O2 sensor, making the computer think it is lean so adding fuel to the A/F.
