Ya, 30psi is the cold pressure you set it to after the car has been sitting. However since the weather is warming up now, if you inflated to 30 in winter it may have gone up a few psi, and you should recheck and let some out if needed.
I filled my tires on the last really cold day and two weeks later I had to let out about 4psi.

"They" say the same effect happens when fueling. If your inthe time of year where you have a significant temperature change from evening to day like spring or fall, If you fuel up at night, the volume wil increase when it gets warmer

Tire pressure is generally based on vehicle weight and NOT specific tires. The rating on the tire specifies a MAXIMUM psi rating, not a recommended rating. The vehicle will almost always drive best within a pound or two of the pressure on the door sticker, regardless of the tire choice. There are exceptions, of course.

All Chevrolets except some of the Aveos have tires that are built to GM's specs. GM specs out the tires and then tells the manufacturers what they want. You can always tell a GM spec'd tire by the letters TPC with 4-5 digits after it on the sidewall. TPC stands for Tire Production Criteria and the digits after that are GM'S code for that spec. This is why GM didn't have the fiasco that Ford had on blowouts and too low of PSI in the tires.

Okay with me.
But seriously it really comes down to owners and not just Ford owners checking their OWN tires for proper inflation. Fords mistake was stating the air pressures should be lower then what the tire maker (Firestone) stated they should be. But too many people are either too lazy or too uninformed or both and so here we are.
Or maybe we should blame it on big oil companies. When gas stations went to self service we lost a lot in my opinion.
