Tire Woes

Tire Woes
I just had a blowout on one of the rear tires. I had already had to have both on the right side plugged. Since I'm at work, and there's only a couple of places in town that have the tires, I had to pay $250 for 2 Dunlops. I hope they'll hold up a while.

Not sure what caused your blow out, but unless you run the air pressures as stated on the door frame sticker you will have side wall problems. Low profile tires like what we have on our HHR's are very pressure sensitive. Low pressure is a killer.
As far as holes and plugs, that is not a tire problem, but seems like where you are driving has a lot of nails or other sharpe objects on the road. Construction? Traveled by Construction vehicles a lot? Might wanna change paths to see if that is an issue.

I waws running recommended pressures. I ran over something to cause the blowout. It wasn't a blowout, just a really big hole. I never saw anything. The good news was no damage other than those gold plated tires.

Important part is you can tell us it happened. Tires can be replaced.
