Huh? Since when is the Tundra killing anything besides Toyota's "legendary" reputation for quality? I've seen the same 20 Tundras sitting on our local Toyota lot for the last three months. The Chevy and Ford dealers next door have turned over their inventory about five times since then. A sales success the Tundra is not.

Nothing retro about that car. Looks like a highlander through and through. Now if they designed a car based on the 39 I would be very interested.

Reminds me more of the Nox/Torrent combo. Then again, most crossovers look like them also. Another reason I will never own one. They all look alike.

Intersting things about Toyota's vaunted "quality"... back in the day I owned a Toyota Tercel (you remember that one, don't you? The rear door on the wagon looked like a refrigerator with an exterior ice/cold water dispenser). It was one of the worst cars I've ever owned...rusted out even with Z-Bart treatment, was constantly in the repair shop and eventually just died on the road at 80K miles and the remedy option that was presented to me was to replace the friggin' engine! It ended up in the scrapyard instead. Currently, the Camry just got knocked down a peg when it lost the "Recommeded Car" designation from Consumers Report.

I had a 1991 Toyota Celica GTS..it was probably the best and most dependable car I have ever owned.

My Matrix never gave me a problem except for the windows not liking to stay on track lol...both fixed under warranty...other than that a solid bullet proof car

Is it possible that the Ford and Chevy dealers are moving more trucks because of the HUGE discounts and incentives they are giving? I've wondered how GM makes any money at all based on the amount of incentives they always have.

Highlander is a nice reliable small SUV but is pretty boring looking.

Toyota's been throwing incentives on the Tundra ever since they started selling them. But they're still WAAAY overpriced. You can get a Silverado with a 4.8 V8 and LS trim cheaper than a Tundra with a V6 and work truck trim. GM, Ford, and Chrysler make insane profit on trucks and SUVs, so the incentives really don't cut as much into the bottom line as they do on smaller cars.

HHRuss is probably thinking of the percentage gain year to year. This just came out and if you look at percentage gain into the market, Toyota is killing GM. But on unit sales, Toyota is far behind GM....not to say they won't catch up. This list is the top selling vehicles in the US.
