On the TPMS with the metal stems is there a correct torque they need to be tightened to? I had one work loose recently. It had been on the wheel over six months so I retightened them on all wheels. I have searched and have found no answers.
Thanks
Ron

I’ve not seen anything about proper torque value for the sensors, most tire shops just tighten them down think “click” in their minds!

This article shows different values

Thanks at least that gives me a range, I have the correct torque wrench. I am going to keep looking and if I find anything I will post it.

The mfg of the stem does supply a torque for the nut that holds the stem, there is also a torque value for the screw that holds the TPS to the stem.
this guy says the nut should be 25-55 in-lb or until the rubber washer bulges slightly.

The GoOgle search term I used was "metal tire stem torque".
