SS rims/tires are taller than 16 inch stock HHR rim/tires so, your car's body should be sitting higher than stock height.
Putting on the SS springs may bring it back to normal body height. Don't think it's as much as a 1.5 inch difference though.

Note. I've read several threads over the years about SS springs being installed. Some say it drops. Others say no. Not sure which is correct.

I’ve parked in my driveway next to Skyline26’s HHR , his is on FE5 SS springs and it sits higher then Oldblue on Canuck Motorsports springs .
So yes they lower the car but not by as much as aftermarket lowering springs.

I did change to KYB shocks and struts, but the OEM were leaking.
