TrueDelta Vehicle Reliability Survey results - Chevrolet HHR

The latest TrueDelta Vehicle Reliability Survey results have been posted. These are for the year ending June 30, 2007. Late responses could lead to further changes, but these are unlikely to be large.

For the 2006 Chevrolet HHR, I have an average of 8.4 months of data on 29 cars. The stat of 69 successful repair trips per 100 vehicles per year (0.7 per vehicle) is about average for a 2006 model.

Examples of the repairs reported:
--wavy running boards (known issue)
--shifter assembly
--wheel bearing
--electrical issues with audio, power window, turn signal
--A/C growl
--rattles and panel alignments (multiple reports)

Everyone who has been helping out with this research, thanks. Those who aren't yet helping out, please consider doing so.

I used to exclude pad and rotor problems from the survey altogether. People asked me to include them, so I did, but I'm not including those repairs in these results. There are just too many possible causes, many outside the control of the manufacturer.

I'm going to eventually provide a separate stat for brakes, but this is going to require larger sample sizes because the problem rates when looking at one component are obviously smaller than overall problem rates, and the more rare something is the larger the sample you need to measure it.

It's possible to get a bad wheel bearing in any car. Just happens sometimes. I think the symptom is usually a lot of noise.
