Progress has a nice set out.... They have a higher spring rate, so it will not sway as much also... Between the two items, the HHR will handle much better.

Are these leveling springs an aftermarket item? I've read elsewhere in this forum that some folks are using Cobalt SS rear coils to lower their HHR. What specific springs did you use? I have an 08 Shadow Edition which has the Sport Suspension, vs the Touring Suspension, not that I know the difference. I would think the Sport version would have the lower springs, but I guess not. My HHR sits too high in the back. Dropping it an inch would be perfect. I'm not looking to stiffen up the back end though, and losing spring travel is likely to do that. Any opinions or suggestions would be appreciated. Glen-New and happy HHR owner. I just completed a short 100 mile trip, combined 40% highway and 60% suburban driving. The DIC says I averaged 31mpg. The car only has 300 miles on it so I'm elated. It can only get better.

Only the struts are stiffer on the FE3 sport suspension vs. the standard FE1 suspension.Everything else is the same.

I can't recommend these enough! I'm not part of the company nor getting paid. But as a long time car guy, old detroit iron, modern detroit iron, superchargers, fuel injection, cams, heads, carbs, exhaust.... this is easily the best "bang for the buck" I've ever spent. Sure, it doesn't make you quicker (except in the turns!!) but the pleasure and difference after spending the money and the 30 minutes to put on (and without needing to jack it up in my case)... wow.... you will CERTAINLY love it.

Especially if you think the HHR handles well already. Yeah, it does, but it can get better! Immediate turn in when maneuvering, reducing body roll (my estimate, 90%!), and laser precise direction when using minute inputs of the wheel.

I am pretty sure if you get one, you'll be on here saying the same things I am right now. I enjoy the Red Sled even more now thanks to TurboTech's sway bar.

And that's all I have to say about that.

Tony, Thanks for the info on the FE3 & FE1 differences. Are you aware of the entry into this forum from someone stating that they installed rear springs from a Cobalt SS which lowered the HHR about an inch? I can't find the forum entry to reference it. The person stated he accomplished the lowering by spending $38 (probably per spring) vs $200 for aftermarket leveling springs.

It should only help keep the sway down also, with winds...

How close does the color match your car? I'm thinking of getting this color too.
