Wow..I am sorry to hear what happened. I had that happen to me a while back..had a brand new ford ranger and some punk keyed one whole side as well as the hood I chalked it up to a jealous hater. It sounds like maybe they wanted to take all the lugs off and then leave you to drive away only to have your tires fall off. I am glad I did not find out who keyed my truck because I was so mad I would have beat them senseless. good luck with the repair!

 

I always worry about my HHR getting key'd or just an accident where someone rubs up against the side of my car & leaves ugly scratches. My Panel has such large open spaces that it almost invites a key'ing. Some people are jealous you have a nice car so they ruin it for you. I'm suprised it hasnt happened yet.
Of course I worry a lot less now because I have a garage but still, when I have to leave it in a parking lot...
Luckily I just have an LS. If I had an SS I'd be devestated!

 

Wouldn't matter if it were an LS, LT or SS, somebody takes a key to anything I drive and their days are numbered. I've always told people that if you have a problem with me, deal with me, take it out on my family or my property....just watch out.

 

It wasn't keyed but I had the side of my Mark VIII side swipped by like a bicycle or somin. Had to have the entire side of the car repainted.

I would consider a car alarm like said before.

 

Don't bother with an alarm. It will not prevent getting keyed.

What is wrong with people it is just way too cold and snowy here to steal wheels.

Around Akron and Cleveland I either take the wifes car or do not leave my SS where I can not keep tabs on it.

My Fiero got Keyed not long after I got it in 1985. I think I know who did it but no way to prove it. I just had to act like it was no big deal to not let them win.

Wow that sucks! I have never been keyed, but as a prank the seniors in high school sprayed paint on people's cars as they were driving out.... Not too fun. I was fortunate enough to be able to get home to wash it off before it stained... It actually ruined the paint on some people's cars.... Not fun at all!

 

Haha yeah with our 12 feet of snow now i think ill be alright for a few days lol.

 

Ya but, Gettin keyed is such a kick in the nuts.
The F - in coward could be killed if the right person caught him in the act.
