Two questions
Since I'm trying to learn about cars, I'm trying to decode things. I need a little explanation.
I have a 2.2L L4 DOHC 16V FFV.
1. I think it means I have a 2.2 liter engine with an L4 suspension, and that it has 16 valves, but the rest means nothing to me. And having an L4 suspension and a 2.2 liter engine means what?
2. Also, I had no idea I had a power front seat lumbar control. Is it in front of or behind the seat forward/backward slide switch? On my dads old Monte Carlo, there was a button. I've never known mine had it, but it says it's standard.

2.2L L4 DOHC 16V FFV means 2.2 liter displacement, L4 means it's an inline four cylinder engine, 16V is 16 valves (4 valves per cylinder) and FFV means Flex fuel vehicle which means it runs on an alternative fuel like ethanol or methanol as well as gasoline.

It used to be cubic inches, now that the Canadians are getting ready to invade we arte using metric.
The lumbar support button is the rocker switch behind the adjuster button. You obviously need an Owner Manual, the dealer that sold you the car is responsible for supplying one to you either by reimbursement or an actual copy. One is also available here.

Every car I have owned the first thing is buy the factory manual for the HHR 2 books like phone books 40 lbs. cost $182.00 and well worth it as it has all of the codes and more info than you will ever need, but no schematics just block diagrams.
