Red face Tying to get tripped planned, need help n prayers..

So the plans are decided to leave around 3:30-4 A.M. on friday morning for Tennessee. I will be going to bed around 8 or 9 P.M. thursday night to ensure I get enough sleep for the trip.

It will be a 960 mile drive
google approx. it to 12 hours 58 mins.

So I think by leaving here by 4 at latest n 13 hours later plus a hour added for time zone crossed... ill be there by dark n dinner I hope.

I have changed my oil, air'd all tires to 30-35lbs, topped off windshield washer fluid...
I will be topping gas tank off the night before the trip and loading the car completely before i go to bed that night...
I have several burned CD's I/Bre made ready for the trip. Got some water, peanut butter, bread, chips, fruit ready for in the car...
I think I have everything planned and I haven't missed anything..

-But thought I would ask ya'll if you can think of any tips or things I am missing..

-and Please Pray for Bre , My Sister and I while we journey on this trip.

Thanks, God bless,

Merry Christmas n Happy New Year to Y'all

-Paul-

Easy, fun trip. (try a 40 hour Cle to Phx). Drive safe, God bless, Merry Chhristmas.

Stop for a bacon eggs sausage gravy biscuits breakfast somewhere along the way and toast a glass of V-8. (or coffee, or orange juice)

And take a bunch of pics with that stupid expensive D-80.

You have everything you need. We have made the trip many times from KY to TX. It's a long trip... but with God as your co-pilot, all will be well.

You all will make great memories, so please take your time and enjoy the scenery. Stop off often, rest and look for sights/landmarks you may not pass by again.

The weather up this direction is improving tonight (ice strorms today), so you should now have good weather... but just like Texas, it may change quickly.

Have a joyous Christmas!

Stuff I never travel without: Sunglasses and maps.

Put in that emergency box: ice scrapper, jumper cables, a roll of TP, a quart of oil and a blanket.

Have a safe trip!

if you want to prepare for the crazy weather, bring a old milk jug filled with kitty litter. For those who don't get snow and ice a lot, i may sound crazy, but yeah it will save your ass when you get stuck. I know tennessee might not have a lot of snow, but with how the weather had been, just be prepared.

If you're starting that early bring an energy drink or 2.

For future trips, long ones, invest in a camelbak water backpack. hang it on the back of your seat and BAM you have a straw right next to your head with a ton of water, love both of mine.

no, not a little bit.

I drove from Philadelphia, PA to Galveston, TX, but never marathon'ed it. Probably could have done it in 3 days, but we stop in Memphis, TN and Lafayette, LA to visit friends & hit a great restaurant, which both add a day. Tennessee is a l - o - n - g state.

Travel safe, have a good time, and check in when you can
