Most people I've seen in HHR's are just "average" people that don't really care about cars. That's the vibe I get from them anyway.

There are 2 ways we can go with this. We all decide on a signal like the peace sign, or we just flip each other the bird when we see each other. Those who visit this forum will know who is who, of course if they roll down the window and start yelling you know they aren't from this forum.

Ya know, I have mixed feelings about this. I definitely wave, nod or throw down a gang sign if the other HHR looks customized. Or if they wave at me first. In the past, with my bike or other custom cars, I would always trade waves. But it seems to me that the HHR is relatively mainstream and maybe only about 10% of them are really car people that would be in on the wavin' thing. So I get alot of indifference out there too and I'm not too surprised.

I've never gotten or given a wave, but have gotten and given one or two of those knowing nods and slight, one half of the mouth turned up grins at the light.

I always try to look at PT Cruiser drivers, too, to see if there is any reaction. Hate to say it, but the vast majority of PT drivers I see are rather crotchety types who don't seem to notice anything at all other than what color hair dye they're getting at the corner store this week.

I've noticed that too! It's like they've purchased their final resting place...

I guess that there is alot of non-car people driving HHRs but I'd think that an HHR purchase would indicate an eye for 'style' or pride in whatch you drive. I mean it's not like we're driving a Toyota or a Honda.

I just thought there would be more of a since on community in the HHR crowd.
