My 08 doesn't have that piece.In fact,where it is,on mine there's the seat adjuster bar.

That is actually the outboard side, the bracket I am referring to is on the inboard passeger side of the seat. Thanks for the try.

Just got back from looking at the parts computer at Chevy and it appears it may have been a leftover from a Cobalt. It looks as though the inboard trim piece on a Cobalt seat is longer, (than an HHR), and bolts onto that bracket.

Tony,

If there were a trim piece, it would not cover the seat adjuster bar, just a corner is all.

Thanks for looking, everyone. I'll just remove it, if possible.
