upgrade questions
I have several upgrades in mind for my '07 panel and I am wondering if anyone has already done or researched them.
I searched the posts as best I could and didn't see anything that would answer my questions.
In the past I have received lots of very good info from here and I hope that someone out there has suggestions that will work for these questions.
1) upgrading to aftermarket front seats, can the seatbelt/airbag sensors be swapped from the factory seat to an aftermarket seat and still remain functional..??
2) swapping the '07 key fob and related parts for an '08 setup that has the rear door buttons. Is this doable or am I better off to go with a aftermarket remote start and solve another problem (very poor range on remote start) at the same time?
3)adding express window function to the passenger side, can I just swap in a drivers side switch or does it require another module/relay be added?
Is it possible to add express in both directions on both drivers and passengers windows..??
Thanks

I didn't know a Panel was available in 2007? Mid year 2008 I thought.
As for question #3 - See an Alarm installer for an aftermarket Window roll up module. Usually interfaces with an aftermarket alarm system.
As for question #2 - Would require a bit of wiring as I don't "believe" the stock factory wiring would be present and the BCM might need programing or changing.

thanks...
The panels were available in '06 but wasn't quick enough and I couldn't find one anywhere near me and I was to late to order a '06 but I did find a '07 the color I wanted with most of the options I wanted within driving distance.
I have asked the local installer guys about the express windows but I could tell by the blank stare I got ....I had better ask somewhere else..
I think unless someone has a real good solution about the doors I'm going to go with the aftermarket "command start" that will give me all 4 doors and more than the factory 50ft start range.
I was having some problems with the remote start last winter and the dealer was NOT a lot of help.
Thanks for the suggestions..

? about #2. the 07 fob as something for the rear door/hatch. The '09 has 4 buttons (start, unlock, lock, and panic) but no rear hatch. Am I missing something in this post or did they take away the rear hatch option.

My '07 panel only has lock, unlock, start and panic....no rear door.
I thought I saw an '08 panel fob that had three unlock buttons, the top row was lock and the second row was two "unlock" button which I assumed would "pop" the back doors on the panel..?
