not too sure what to do with that website, cant search for cars older than 2012...or am i supposed to just use it as a "dealer" search and ask them to do it?

Here is another place you can also look for HHRs (they also list some Canadian cities, but there is not much there): http://www.carsforsale.com/used_cars.../chevrolet_hhr. In fact, I found my HHR on the above website last month, and not on the other websites mentioned. I was looking for at least a LT with a 5-speed, and ideally a sunroof. Looking for a 5-speed period was hard enough, since most of them were automatics! Fortunately, I found a 2006 2LT.

Note: This is a great forum with lots of good information and helpful members! I found this forum maybe 3 months ago, and joined a few days after I brought my HHR. Unfortunately, I have not had any time to post, until now.

Sleeper....I am with you 100%

we found 3 cars...2 SS' and 1 2LT panel (in metallic red!)
today we begin the fun.

1 of the SS is a sunburst orange...Carfax did me a solid though...read a repair note that stated "crankshaft replaced"
called the repair dealership and learned the engine broke a timing chain tensioner at 77k and it wiped out the crank, 2 pistons and the cylinder head!
suddenly I lost interest...the car is a 08 and has 77k...was traded in 2 weeks after repair so:
either the owner had an extended warranty(the car was bought 5 years and 3 months prior to repair which means the motor broke 3 months out of warranty-talk about bad timing(no pun intended)) or had to pay out of pocket...who would pay o
for that kind of repair and then get rid of the car???
part of me says "well, it has a new head, 2 new pistons and new timing assembly"...but then knowing that they pieced the engine back together rather than install a new mill tells me it was covered by a warranty and that's how warranty companies work...by the dime, not the dollar.

the other is a red 09 SS...75k miles, certified, but WAY over-priced....let the fun begin.
I am taking my 2500HD with me to trade in, and pockets full of cash to lure them to my side.
If all goes well, a RED SS will be coming home with me...or a red panel.
or
I'll be coming home tired, frustrated, hungry and feeling like a failure for not winning the game....

the perosity issue worries me on 08-09 SS 2.0 engines though..

Hey Skyline26!

If you scroll to the bottom of the screen from the GM link, you will see a column on the lefthand side titled Vehicles. In that column is a link to Certified Pre-Owned. Take that link and then you will be able to search by make and model from 2005 on up. I tried it and was able to get a bunch of HHR's to show up, including a 2006 with over 70,000 km's with an asking price of over $18,000!
