Don't use aviaton fuel in cars.....not formulated for street or race and not cost effective.

What most people are saying! Don't use it because your HHR won't use it and is a waste of money.

wow this has gotten way off topic. I asked about using 110 octane and the question was answered. But now people are talking about blue or green fuel? and not using avaiation fuel?

So the answer to the original question is it is a waist of money as the hhr won't use it. It will also cause it to run hotter, and alot of racing fuel is leaded so would have to watch out for that.

we used to run turbo blue racing gasoline in our dirt track cars and it is 110 octane, you can not run it in a car that has catylic convertors though(im pretty sure it will burn the convertor up).when the price of that got up near $5 a gallon we switched over to racing alcohol.both of these fuels have an awesome smell out of the exhaust pipes

racing fuel smells right nice while cutting grass too, makes the exhaust muffler turn white..
