We purchased our HHR after a ton of internet research. My fiancee and I did our best to make sure we did the right thing after getting stuck with the lemon of a PT we had. We found our HHR at the GM Certified Car website, had the dealer email pics and information and did the deal very quickly and easily. Our guy couldn't have been better. We feel we got an exceptional deal on our car...and we'd go back to that dealer again for another.

With the information now available at a buyer's fingertips, dealers are no longer able to hide things, do the ol' shuck and jive, etc....providing the buyer uses the information. :twothumbs

When you say order, do you mean as in from the factory? In my case I filled out a form online and it was sent to several dealers. I told them exactly what I wanted and they looked for it until one found it. If they hadn't found what I wanted, I guess I could have continued the online process of a factory order via a dealer, but would still have had to come in to sign the paperwork before the order was placed.

Yes, but most likely you will need to send a deposit.

Nevermind the internet, but this site specifically.

I researched the brake issues, plus the running board/sandblasted rear wheel arch issue.

I bought an '06, but I immediately referenced the TSB about the rear arcs and my local dealer installed a pair of boards, and removed and painted the area where the overlay patches were for "a one-time goodwill offer" of $200.00 out of pocket for me. I accepted that as fair. Also, I ordered a set of EBC pads and rotors immediately. I HATE pulsating brakes, and I do mostly highway to work (stop and go highway), so high speed stops are required. Hearing that the issue is more apparent at high speeds, I didn't wait.

Like I said, the net-and this site have been helpful to me. As I learn more, hopefully I'll help others as I've been helped.
