V8 HHR Build
#11
Steering rack
I have never seen ANY helpful pictures of the Unique HHR other than with the hood up and that beautiful blown motor sitting there. If you know of any "build" photos of the car, please post them.

Sub Frame
I have no plans of producing another sub frame but I will be posting many more detailed pics of it before it is installed in the car if you want to build your own. As far as prints go it's got too many weird angles for me to draw, just build one on the HHR body.

Sub Frame Details
Well here it is boys and girls. The complete sub frame ready for install. Got it back from powder coat and hope to begin final install next week. For anyone that is interested going down the same path I took, you can use these pics as a reference. The only way I know to build another one of these is on a car body...lots of strange angles that you just need to see with your own eyes to make it. But it's not that difficult. I think a monkey could do this.
It's built mainly out of 2"x3"x 3/16" rectangle tubing. the brackets are mainly 3/16" plate. A few brackets in the transmission cross-member area are 1/4"

Tire Sizes
Believe it or not, today is the first time I set the front and rear tires along side each other for comparison. As you can see, there will be a lot of rubber under the rear end of this car.
