From Cardboard to Steel

The tool box area is pretty much built now. More work will be required for the lid but you get the general idea. Parking brake cables go thru the bottom of the box, just below the air tank. By the time it's done this little box will be fairly complex.

More progress on tool box

The tool box is almost complete now. The lip is all around the forward edges and the seam seal is in. I set the air tank and battery to make sure they fit. Still need to build some mount pads for the feet on the tank and drill a hole thru the bottom to drain water out of the tank.

You Know You Have Gone Off The Deep End When.......

You know you have gone off the deep end when you go to your dentist's office to use his drills and grinders to make minute changes to the steering wheel insignia. Seriously, I went to my dentist's office today to use his tools to even out the center section of my custom steering wheel center. I'll be putting a custom printed 5.7L Ls1 graphic on it. The wheel is a leather '06 Cobalt SS unit.
