A couple of friends and myself are wanting to plan a whitewater kayaking trip in Colorado for sometime in July. It's still undecided whether we're going or not, though.

I took 2 trips with Wheelie last year, as i posted earlier in another topic, I really dont have any plans to go on a trip this year, Unless, another Katrina like hurricane invades my home here in Louisiana again., but if not, the only place where I will most like go with Wheelie are Church, Favorite restaurants, and WAL MART, oh!, and Chevy service dept. for Oil changes!

I'll be heading to Atlanta the weekend of July 14th. We're going up there to watch my son's friend compete in a marching band competition. We may also take in a Braves game even though I'm a Cardinal fan.

Next week is our big travel week for the summer (not counting our short August trips to Darien Lake and Watkins Glen). Sunday and Monday, it's a short jaunt out to Cedar Point (the wife has never been, and she's really excited about it). Next Friday and Saturday we go the other way to New York City (with a side-trip to Stamford, CT, where I hope to be employed in the future) and a lunch with my sister and her husband, who'll be up here visiting her friend in New Jersey.

Last year was our big cross-country travel year. To whet your appetite, here's a pic of Stitch I at Canyon de Chelly!

One week and a half from today we will be heading north out of Phoenix, to Glacier National Park. Can't wait for five in the morning, when we'll have the camping gear in the car, and be tooling up I-17, cup of coffee in hand and no work in sight for three weeks! We think happy thoughts of one less day, every morning at five thirty when that alarm goes off.

Won't be long now!

Where ever you travel folks, drive carefully, have fun, and stay safe!

We've already been on vacation and are back at work.

Went up to Detroit for a wedding in the family and on the way there stopped at South Bend to visit Notre Dame(beautiful campus), and on the way home stopped at Louisville and St. Louis for some fun stuff for the kids (and me).

- wedding (don't tell wife)
Game at Tiger Stadium; Louisville and St. Louis - two of my favorite towns!

Bummer part - We hadn't bought our HHR yet, so took the wife's Envoy and visited about every gas station along the way.

Already back from our vacation as well. We took a week long trip to Denver to watch our beloved Cardinals play the Rockies in Colorado. The games were great, and Coors field was very nice, but the highlight of the trip was the day trip we made into the Rocky Mountains (and supper with Deb of course). That was my first rip to Colorado, and I have to say it was the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen. I thought Gatlinburg, TN and the Smoky Mountains were beautiful, but they can't compare to the Rockies (sorry to those in TN).

Taking a non-stop drive to Seattle at the end of August for the Penny Arcade Expo, then driving back in the same fashion. We'll be driving Grimm, of course
