Anyone coming to the North Rim let me know and I will meet you there. Its only 80 miles from here and as I worked 28 years at the Canyon always up for a trip back and would enjoy meeting other HHR people. I might even prove useful as a guide.

Coyote and others, how do the HHR do in the mountains. My husband is afraid the little 2.4 won't have enough power.

I took my HHR from Missouri to Denver ofr vacation, and while there made a trip to Summit Lake on Mount Evans. HHR handled the mountains very well. Steep grades and high altitude caused no problems at all. I was a bit concerned about how my HHR would handle the altitude and hills, but she had plenty of power, and no ill effects from the thin air, and we got to about 13,000 feet. Good luck and have a safe trip.

Let's see.................annual camping trip to the Maine coast (oceanside camping in Small Point). Lobsters boiled over the campfire while the waves break on the shore in the background. Disney World in October for an anniversary trip.

We wanted to go on Trail Ridge Road, but it was still closed while we were there due to snow. The last 4 mniles of Mount Evans was also closed, but at least we made it as far as Summit Lake, which was far enough considering the road and the amount of snow around us . I have some pics at a photobucket site of our journey up if you would like to see them. Sorry for the slight hyjack

I jus finished up my 10 day vacation. It started with a road trip from North Carolina to Nebraska, it took 21 hours including 2 hours of sleep and 1 time-zone change. Spent the time with my girlfriend, my brother and his boys. Had to leave my HHR behind in Nebraska so my girldfriend can take care of it while I go away on my other "vacation" to the big sandbox overseas.
