VentShade
Ok maybe someone can help me on this. For the past couple of days I've been looking for Ventshades for this car. I found them at SoCal HHR and another place here in Ohio. Problem is that I'm hearing that the ones that tuck into the window seam tend to break. Has anybody else had this problem. I don't want to purchase anything thats going to break. I've talked to several different shops and they don't even carry the inseam ones because they do tend to break. If anyone can reccommend which ones are the better ones that would be greatly appreciated.

I have only used in channel vent shades for over 10 years. I have never had one break. I have never had a problem. Here is a list of cars that I had them on:
1995 Plymouth Voyger
1999 Ford Explorer
2003 Ford Explorer
2006 HHR
I have also put them on my moms:
1990 Dodge Carvan
2000 Dodge Carvan
ALL have had the in channel ventshades.
Even the ones on the paint come off.

How are they breaking? During the installation? During regular use while driving around? Impact from a crash?
You do have to flex the front ones a little bit to install, but it isn't much and there is some flex in the material used. I don't know if outside temperature would affect the flexing during installation, though.
