Wow..you can see several things happening there that porting and other mods strive to correct....notice the air/fuel mix entering, its all splattering and unevenand can even see solid drops passing thru, drops do not burn, hence the yellow flames, and as claimed most of the flow is achieved during the first few thousanths of valve lift...after ign you can se how the flame favors the intake side of the chamber, the goal is to get the flame to burn in all the cylinder area, this is how you burn ALL the fuel and make power ( and MPG) instead of pumping it out the tail pipe...this is why some engines use two plugs per cylinder, to get the flame going on the exhaust side. This will gain 50 rpm and who knows what HP with no other changes. You can also witness the multi spark ign at work...notice how long it actually takes to lite the mixture after the plug starts firing...now you can better understand timing....high compression engines will actually try to blow out the spark...good stuff

In my best Bevis voice - Thatwaz cool.

That perticular engine was probally tested and beat to sh-t forever before they got a camera in there.

I'm not sure if anyone else noticed but:
1) It's a quad valve cylinder.
2) Watch the "bounce" when the valve closes. This shows it better
3) It's also a HEMI!

Last edited by Ivan_Deslayer; 03-26-2010 at 08:01 AM. Reason: Can really see the valve closing bounce

Very cool, sent this to a bunch of friends. It appears to be pretty low compression, maybe even a flat top piston. In a hemi chamber, that might explain poor mixing and erratic combustion.
