They asked if I would mind taking it. 666 doesn't bother me. I just see it as a license plate number combo. The fact it has an 8 on it makes me like it more.

I do want to get the grille, mirrors, door handles and rear beauty bar paint matched. But that is most likely uncle sams pocket next year.

Its your car man, do whatever you want to it. IMO, I personally dont really like it, but to each his own. You kinda ruined it when you took off your aluminum wheels for the steelies. You went from a Shadow Edition to a wanna be LS.

I like the "Chevrolet" Vynil script. I don´t like the black bowtie. Look like a moustache for me.

I sure Don't like the "steelies" at all. As a Winter snow tire rim just to get through the Salt battle, Fine, but for every day all year, YUCK!

I also agree it Degrades and Devalues his HHR.

I use my Polished OEM Aluminum wheels as my Winter use wheels, then put my Boyd Smoothie II's on for Spring, Summer, Fall.

I Like the letters on the Grille myself, but I bought a OEM GM Hood Bra so they would be Covered up by it when I am using it. Otherwise I do like the Vintage cut letters.

I think he could Dress Up his OEM Shadow Wheels with something like these and still Keep the S.E. wheels. (without them it's No longer a Special Edition HHR anymore.

If anything he should KEEP the OEM rims in Storage someplace for when he sells the HHR in the future.
I think he's goin for that "cop car look", but cop cars wheels are only used for Function, Not to impress and towns just buy the steel wheels because they are the Cheapest thing they can get on them.

But hey, it's His car so he should do as HE pleases with it.

A&P, you nailed that portion of it. However the steelies will be getting a coat of block paint,(muffler too) and then clear coated(not the muffler) chrome trim rings too, then figure out a cap.

So why didn't you do a poll if you should get steelies?

LOL. Her '666' as a part of her license plate #'s was the best thing my daughter liked about her '91 Camry. She wanted to transfer it to her new(er) car, but Cal DMV doesn't allow that - only on personalized plates.
