Warrenty
Well my '06 HHR LT (purchased March '06) turned 36000 miles yesterday. No more warrenty . The only warrenty work that was done on the car was the ignition stuck key issue. The recall for the non side air bag recall was done. I've only maintenance that has been done have been oil changes, cabin air filter change and tire rotation. I've spent $3264.82 for gas in the 35 months I've owned the car.

Three year or 36,000 miles for '06. I'll check the manual to see about a six year power train.
I hate to see some having some major mechanical problems with their new HHRs as my car has been working great for the two and a half years of ownership.
I'm not into extended warrenties as they are overpriced and when I have purchased them in the past, the things that failed weren't covered. The price quotes in the advertisements for repairs are about twice of the actualy cost. Most major things that go wrong with a car happens in the first few months of ownership and would be covered under the manufacturer's warrenty.

ChevyMgr is correct (duh!) - my 2007 HHR has a 3-year/36,000 mile bumper-to-bumper warranty and a 5-year/100,000 mile powertrain warranty. There is a lot more to a vehicle than the powertrain.
The language of the 5 year powertrain warranty is quite specific and only those components which would normally not fail in service are covered. Everyone should take the time to read all about it.
