Weak Window Motors

Has anyone else had problems when the temp gets below 32 F with the window motors not being strong enough to roll the windows down ?

It's not the temperature,it's the moisture in the air that freezes the crappy window seals to the glass. You might try running a credit card in the gap between the seal and the glass and see if that does anything to help.

What he ^ said, seal retains moisture and is actually freezing to the glass (happens on a number of vehicles). Motor is strong enough but amperage is monitored so it will not break frozen seal loose. When cleaning windows, gotta break seal away from glass (I do it by habit).

It happens on many vehicles, not just an HHR problem

Drive thru restaurant, ATM, bank window, etc. You think we close these things up for the winter?

Thanks guys,I'll try that next time.I was wondering if the moisture was freezing on the seals but I figured the motor would have been strong enough to break it loose. Thanks for the info !!
