Ok, I see that was welded in by the exhaust shop? Possibly a loose weld?

I had to have the 2 bolt cut off, use the 3 bolt that came with the used set up welded in its place.

Thought about the weld too, but would it sound like that? I don't know much about exhaust set up on cars......

Wonder if I need to pull the cheap header/engine gasket that came with headers and put a stock gasket back on....

Is the bellows on the down pipe cracked ?
Did a header tube crack at a weld ?
Putting a rag at the muffler should have shown something, even at idle putting your hand around area's to feel a leak.

If you only hear it when moving how could it be exhaust? If it is the exhaust you would be able to hear it when you are sitting still revving the motor.

Oldblue, I checked for clearance, the muffler portion was hitting the heat shield, I bent the hanger and got it to stop hitting that, everything else seems to be clear.

Catman HHR, ITried Shirt trick again with a piece of board as well covering the tip... I found a leak at the weld of the down pipe, where the flange was welded on. It feels like there is 3 pin holes in the weld, you can feel the air coming out of it. So that will need to be rewelded. That is more of the area im hearing it from to, almost sounds like directly under the driver side of the car.

I was wondering the same thing Donbrew I was able to talk to a muffler guy tonight where I was at, brought up the same concern to him. That it only happens when car is in gear and gas is being pressed. His words "that cause there is more pressure building up in the engine, exiting the system while the gas is being pressed and in drive or reverse. There is less pressure while in P/N then in gear and being used."
