Well shoot!

In my defense, my brain is a bit addled due to excessive turkey ingestion.

It's my second Turkey day in a month so that is not a valid reason, but ok

Must admit, since I was legal to drive solo at 16, I have been involved in 20 traffic stops, and 2 citations as a result. +1 Red Light ticket that didn't count towards a driving record.

My 2.2 1LT Shadow Edition is not something to shake your head at. With a 5sp, and a driver who isn't afraid to push it.

@843de do you mean Naturally Aspirated?
Yeah they do come in handy that's for sure. It sucks for the members that live in Virginia or D.C. though cause they're illegal to use there. Since I've gotten my driver's license at 16, I've only received 1 citation and it was for speeding. (Knocks on wood) That was back in 2010 and it was for a little more than that 5 over I got pulled over for 2 weeks ago lol.

Not illegal to use; illegal to have in a motor vehicle, even if unplugged and in a sealed box! Worse than a concealed handgun; you can get a license for that.

And don't forget the Radar Detector Detectors used in Virginia. Even the finest radar detectors give off/reflect enough microwave radiation back to the emission source to be detected.

My Valentine One stays in NC when I know that I'll be driving into or through Virginia. Instead I reley on the "Speed Bug" on my GPS which squawks at every posted limit change, and if I've crept over the speed limit by 5 mph.

Cruise control is your friend in VA, until you get into congested areas near Harrisonburg, Staunton, or Richmond. Then it's time to click off the autopilot.

No online traffic schools in this part of NC, but it would be handy.

A few carbs I remember but not necessarily from automobiles.

Mikuni on several of my motorcycles

Fenton on our old Hercules 4 cylinder stationary motor.

Gravton on one of the old Scottish made hit and miss engines I had when I was young.

Yeah that's just crazy. I knew you couldn't use them there, but I didn't realize it was that bad. I know you guys have some, if not the harshest laws for speeding in the country too. Anything over 80 is considered reckless driving and can result in some hefty fines and even jail time. I'm with Mike on this one. If you're driving through VA, you definitely want to use your cruise control cause there is very little to no tolerance for speeders. One of my buddies that's from there found that out the hard way the last time he drove through there.

Not to mention this article from one of the guys at Jalopnik says it all.

Never Speed In Virginia: Lessons From My Three Days In Jail

Virginia is for lovers, but it is not for people who like to speed.

Right foot too heavy

Thought I'd blip the throttle a bit. Guess I held it down a little too long. I knew it was bad when the sheriff wanted me so see his dash cam pic.Name: 82747.gif
