I was sitting in my living room yesterday listening to my scanner. My old FD work group was on. Lots and lots of chatter. Helicopters flying over. State Police everywhere. Then the Breaking News - A standoff was in progress on Interstate 495 just a mile from my house. Seems the State Police stopped a guy for speeding. He got upset, got out of his car and started waving a handgun. It ended after 2 hours. I have attached a link to my local newspaper. If you look with a microscope at the photo, you'll see what he was driving. The news videos had a great shot. A 2006 Chevy HHR. Yep....a silver one. While they haven't released much info on this guy, my true feeling is that he was headed back to his Chevy dealer to show them the paint erosion on his rear quarters and demand running boards! He meant business, he had 2 more guns in the car!

At least he was smart enough to not try to outrun the cops in his HHR.

 

Well that is not the type of advertising chevy may want, but it made the HHR made the news.

 

We just missed that mess by 20 min...heard traffic was backed up on 495 for two hours!!!
