wet floor

I'm installing some new things for my stereo and noticed that my passager side floor is wet under the carpet. " I do not have a sun roof" any ideas what it may be?

I have read about the problem in a few other threads. I remember one of the problems it turned out to be was a rubber plug in the firewall that the wiring harness comes through. You could try searching the other posts I know its here somewhere.

Have you had your windshield replaced yet? Have seen several others who have found a tear in a rubber piece underneath the windshield cowl that has been letting water in too.

i was an autoglass technician for about 18 years. One of my duties was to check out water leaks. If water is on the passenger floorboard, it may possibly be coming in from a loose grommet in the engine compartment. Many times tho..if its on the passenger side you are getting water, it could be coming in thru your heater core. POP open your hood and have someone gently pour a little bit of water from a garden hose at the base of the windshield, moving the water to around the wiper motor area and the engine firewall on the passenger side. Meanwhile, you should try peeling back as much carpet as possible on the inside passenger side. Get a very strong flashlite or trouble lite and watch for water dripping in. Get the hose holder to move slow and methodically, recalling where the hose was when you first see a trickle on the inside.

This is what my friend found upon further investigation.
